UAGro: Leading Educational Transformation with Digital Identity
The Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero (UAGro), one of Mexico’s largest educational institutions with over 80,000 students, has taken a pioneering step by integrating the QuarkID protocol powered by the zkSync network. This initiative is part of UAGro’s strategic digital transformation to enhance the security, transparency, and efficiency of issuing academic documents.
Challenge
Prior to the implementation, UAGro faced challenges with the security and verification of academic credentials. The process was cumbersome, prone to fraud, and lacked a standardized verification method that could support the dynamic needs of digital education systems.
Solution
In collaboration with Extrimian, UAGro deployed QuarkID to streamline the management of verifiable credentials. This solution ensures the immutability of academic records and enables secure, transparent transactions without intermediaries.
Key Components of the Implementation:
- QuarkID Protocol: Utilizes advanced blockchain technology to secure credentials.
- Extrimian IDConnect and SSI API: Facilitates the integration and management of digital identities.
- zkSync Network: Provides a scalable and cost-effective blockchain infrastructure.
