We illustrate how to present a verifiable credential fully or in part (through selective disclosure) based on the verifier’s requirements, thereby enabling the holder to maintain privacy and control over their data. In a use case, a citizen receives a complete governmental credential and uses it in various contexts: fully at a bank and partially at a bar to prove their majority age, without disclosing extra information.
This process shows the verifiable credentials’ flexibility, security, and efficiency in managing digital identity, encouraging privacy and personal information control in a more digitally interconnected world.
